Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Researching fashion trends and consumer preferences
• Creating sketches and using computeraided design (CAD) software to develop design concepts
• Collaborating with the design team to develop new products
• Selecting fabrics embellishments and colors for each design
• Overseeing the production process to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications
• Presenting design ideas to the creative director or design team
• Attending fashion shows and events to gather inspiration
• Developing patterns and overseeing the fitting of sample garments
• Communicating with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely production
• Conducting market research to identify new opportunities and trends
• Participating in brainstorming sessions to generate new concepts
• Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to understand customer needs
• Adhering to budget constraints and production timelines
• Adapting designs to meet different market needs and preferences

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Fashion Design Textiles or related field
• Demonstrable experience as a Fashion Designer or relevant role
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative and innovative designs
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques
• Understanding of color theory and fabric properties
• Excellent sketching and illustration skills
• Strong communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment
• Uptodate knowledge of fashion trends and industry developments
• Detailoriented with a focus on quality and precision
• Ability to collaborate and work well within a team
• Experience with pattern making and garment fitting
• Proven ability to translate conceptual ideas into marketable products
• Flexibility to adapt designs to meet diverse consumer preferences
