About the Role
Designation : Asst. Category Manager
Were looking for a assistant category manager who can
Make Company the most preferred FMCG & Staples buying destination for Kirana retailers all across India. Drive aggressive and profitable growth in customer (Kirana retailer) base topline bottomline of the assigned categories.
In order to do this you will need to:
Key Responsibilities:
Understand the needs of the customer based on consumption pattern economic status and demographics
Analysis of onapp behavior of customers (search traffic conversion funnel etc)
Understand market trends and factors shaping customer demand and industry dynamics
Analysis of competing offerings available to the customers (across multiple offline and online channels)
Define the customer value proposition and the entire experience for the customer w.r.t. to the category
Create a category strategy and use this to develop annual category plans at overall category and city/regional levels based on topdown and bottomup inputs
Translate into detailed and actionable monthly category plans with clearly defined owners and checkpoints
Own execution of annual and monthly category plans to drive topline and bottomline goals
Define the selection/assortment required to serve the needs of the target customer and work with Category Buyers to list these products and drive their consistent availability on the platform
Improve discovery of the right products and drive higher conversion rates
Own creation and execution of targeted promotions & campaigns Track campaign performance daily and work with merchandising and marketing teams to improve ROI.
Provide regular inputs to category buyers to help them drive high ROI investments

Mandatory:
High aptitude and thinking ability
Brilliant problem solving skills including problem identification drill down capabilities and ideate solutions
Excellent collaboration skills Work with high performing cross functional teams to achieve the organizational goals
Sound business judgment and an ability to evaluate and manage multiple
competing priorities using metrics and data
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and analyzing data and ability to generate actionable insights from data
High attention to detail and willingness to dive deep in to the problem
Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to influence a variety stakeholders without relying on positional authority
Hunger to work deliver and grow in a rapidly growing organization
Ability to work independently with limited support in a fastpaced high growth environment
Interest in food & grocery industry
Also Preferred but not mandatory:
02 years of experience in a revenue generating team environment
B.Tech / MBA
