Job Description

Company Overview:
We are a dynamic organization seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our accounting team. Our company values collaboration open communication and a positive work environment. Job Description:

  • Collaborate with the CFO to prepare monthly financial statements for multiple companies operating across different states.
  • Conduct bank account reconciliations for the various companies.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and balancing including positive pay uploads.
  • Prepare journal entries maintain and reconcile accounts accurately.
  • Assist with external and internal audit requests providing necessary information.
  • Execute monthend journal entries for the closing of multiple companies.
  • Conduct intercompany monthly reconciliations.
  • Maintain lease accounting records and ensure compliance with accounting standards related to leases.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Construction Accounting.
  • Bachelors degree in accounting business or equivalent experience with at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Strong ethics organizational skills attention to detail and multitasking abilities.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Sage 300 and Microsoft Excel.
  • Selfmotivated with high energy and a commitment to delivering quality work independently.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent technical analytical and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles practices and procedures.
  • Detailoriented and exceptionally organized.
  • Outstanding team player with a positive outlook and professional demeanor.

Job Type:

  • Salary: $100000 to $150000 (salary range based on experience).
  • Onsite: Fulltime position Monday through Friday forty (40) hours per week. This role is not classified as a hybrid or remote position.
