My Client a multinational with leading brands in the FMCG sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales/Business Development Director to lead their sales department and drive business growth in their organization.

The Sales/Business Development Director s main responsibility would be to drive exceptional performance in line with the company s strategic goals by overseeing all customer accounts up to national level to ensure the constant rise in sales and by identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as expanding brand presence to generate revenue for the business.

The key responsibilities include:
  • Lead crossfunctional teams manage existing partnerships and evaluate company business goals.
  • Develop and deliver the sales strategy achieve net sales and margin targets through effective leadership.
  • Monitor business strategies in order to ensure the longterm financial viability of the organization.
  • Manage performance and develop current staff and future team within the organization as per Performance Management Plan in order to facilitate high performance succession planning and close performance gaps.
  • Manage performance and talent plan for team & implement functional plans and projects.
  • Negotiate and exceed financial & market share objectives & implement plans and to improve business profitability.
  • Maintain external stakeholder relations and establish functional network & utilize service provider network
  • Manage internal/ key account/ thirdparty/ agents performance to exceed planned objectives.
  • Control working capital items and exceed set parameters
  • Approve functional plan using strategy and structure to outperform competitors
  • Develop new categories into value chain
  • Work crossfunctionally with other departments on various projects
  • Developing indepth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
  • Directing marketing efforts by presenting market research to marketing directors and suggesting strategies to expand market research.
  • Assessing marketing and sales as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommending improvements as needed.
  • Preparing all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers needs.
  • Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow business.
  • Presenting business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.
  • Selecting automation software and software platforms that best meet company needs
  • Develop Route To Market (RTM) strategies
  • Conduct financial analysis Return on Investment of RTM process to be shared with key stakeholders control system in place to get region compliance on distributor management


Requirements

  • Post Graduate qualification with relevant certification in Sales Marketing or
  • Business management is preferred
  • Over 12 years experience; sectorspecific sales experience including management experience in related business areas is preferred
  • Experience across a broad range of sales channels is essential along with evidence of success
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Experience managing a highperformance sales team
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to deliver day to day results within a strategic context
  • Rigorous autonomous innovative and proactive
  • Outstanding negotiation persuasive and consultative sales skills
  • Analysis of Sales performance metrics
