Overview
The position of DM Gastroenterologist Professor is a key role within our organization bringing together clinical expertise education and research in the field of Gastroenterology. The selected individual will play a crucial role in educating future physicians advancing research and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach and mentor medical students residents and fellows in the field of Gastroenterology.
- Lead and conduct research in Gastroenterology contributing to the knowledge and advancement of the field.
- Provide expert clinical care to patients with Gastrointestinal disorders.
- Participate in departmental and institutional committees and activities related to Gastroenterology.
- Engage in scholarly activities including publishing research findings and presenting at conferences.
- Contribute to curriculum development and assessment for Gastroenterology education programs.
- Supervise and evaluate trainees in their clinical and research activities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain clinical and academic credentials.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Gastroenterology policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or equivalent.
- Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
- DM or equivalent specialty training in Gastroenterology.
- Proven track record of teaching and mentoring medical students residents and fellows.
- Demonstrated ability in conducting and publishing Gastroenterology research.
- Experience in providing expert clinical care to patients with Gastrointestinal disorders.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment.
