Job Description
Overview:
The QA API Automation role in our Gurgaon office is a key position responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. The individual will play a critical role in developing and executing API automation test cases to support our software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated API test scripts using Java and Rest Assured
- Execute automated API test cases using Postman
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the QA automation framework
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities
- Review and analyze test results to identify and report quality issues
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide input on quality assurance processes
- Conduct API performance testing and analyze performance metrics
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Document and communicate test results and provide recommendations for improvements
- Stay updated with industry best practices and technologies related to API testing and automation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6 years of experience in API testing and test automation
- Proficiency in programming with Java
- Handson experience with Rest Assured framework
- Strong proficiency in using Postman for API testing
- Experience with implementing and maintaining automation frameworks
- Indepth understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative environment
- Experience in conducting API performance testing and analyzing results
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools
- Certifications in quality assurance and test automation are a plus
