We are looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer specializing in Cyber Engineering to join our team. As an IT Support Engineer - Cyber Engineering, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive infrastructure support, internal support, and remote customer support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and technologies, coupled with expertise in firewalls, access points, VLANs, switches, networking, server administration, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Responsibilities:
- Provide complete infrastructure support, including cybersecurity measures, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems.
- Offer internal support to employees, addressing their IT-related issues promptly and effectively, with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Deliver remote customer support, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and inquiries related to cybersecurity and IT infrastructure.
- Configure, install, and maintain firewalls, access points, VLANs, switches, and other networking equipment with a strong emphasis on security protocols.
- Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect organizational assets and data.
- Administer servers, ensuring their smooth operation, security compliance, and resilience against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cybersecurity solutions and address technical challenges.
- Monitor network traffic for security breaches and intrusions, and implement necessary measures to mitigate risks.
- Document cybersecurity procedures, configurations, and incident responses to facilitate compliance and future reference.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve IT infrastructure and support services.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, access points, VLANs, switches, and other networking equipment with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and cybersecurity measures.
- Experience in server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance, with an emphasis on cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, and experience in implementing cybersecurity measures in cloud environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve cybersecurity-related issues efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and any relevant cloud certifications are desirable.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience with a Diploma or BCA.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support, cybersecurity, or a similar role.
- Relevant certifications and training in networking, cybersecurity, server administration, and cloud platforms are advantageous.
