JOB DESCRIPTION
Core Responsibility:
- Proactively develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.
- Engineering of systems administrationrelated solutions for various project and operational needs.
- Maintain best practices for managing systems and services across all environments
- Fault finding analysis and logging information for reporting performance exceptions
- Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
- Manage coordinate and implement software upgrades patches and hotfixes on servers workstations and network hardware
- Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability security efficiency and scalability of the environment
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
Required skills and qualifications:
- Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator minimum 2 years.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or similar relevant degree.
- Indepth knowledge of Linux: RedHat CentOS Debian etc.
- Handson experience with MySQL MariaDB and/or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with VMWare Proxmox HyperV and SAN/NAS management and concepts.
- Expert in Shell Perl and/or Python scripting.
- Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS HTTP HTTPS LDAP SMTP SMB and SNMP.
- Additional Linux certifications (RHCSA RHCE) will be considered an advantage
- Strong problemsolving and communication skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills as well as the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services as well as experience in managing cloudbased infrastructure. (AWS Azure)
