We are seeking a highly skilled CAD/CAM/SolidWorks Design Engineer with expertise in designing special purpose machines tools and fixtures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and models using CAD software optimising designs for performance and manufacturability and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure project success. This role requires strong problemsolving abilities a deep understanding of engineering principles and proficiency in CAD/CAM tools particularly SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop special purpose machines tools and fixtures to meet project requirements and specifications.

2. Utilize SolidWorks and other CAD software to create 3D models and detailed engineering drawings for components and assemblies.

3. Collaborate with mechanical engineers manufacturing teams and project managers to understand design objectives and constraints.

4. Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate design concepts including stress analysis tolerance stackup analysis and dynamic simulations.

5. Optimize designs for performance reliability and costeffectiveness while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

6. Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) specifications and documentation necessary for manufacturing and assembly processes.

7. Prototype and test designs to validate performance and functionality making necessary modifications as required.

8. Provide technical support during the manufacturing assembly and testing phases addressing any designrelated issues that may arise.

9. Stay updated on advancements in CAD/CAM technology industry trends and best practices to improve design processes continuously and methodologies.

10. Participate in design reviews brainstorming sessions and crossfunctional meetings to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.

Requirements

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred.

2. Proven experience (X years) as a CAD/CAM/SolidWorks Design Engineer preferably in the design of special purpose machines tools or fixtures.

3. Proficiency in CAD software particularly SolidWorks with a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T).

4. Solid grasp of engineering principles including mechanics materials science and manufacturing processes.

5. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and other simulation tools is desirable.

6. Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

8. Detailoriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in design work.

9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

10. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.

A total of 3 to 5 years of work experience is a must. Must be BE - Mechanical Engineering with First Class Must have expertise in working on Machine Design, Tooling Design and Factory Applications Build Certified CAD / CAM Engineer Ansys Expertise is preferred Certified Solid Works Engineer Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
