- Project management including budgeting expenditure management reporting supervision of project staff: lead the management of projects with an aggregated budget of more than EUR 15 million (RESSAC OFACCE and CAFI Congo)
- Leadership role in SciencePolicy dialogue: provide leadership to the scientific and academic college of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP) the Network for Forestry Research in central Africa (R2FAC) and the Congo Basin Science Initiative.
- Leadership role in the promotion of impact of CIFORICRAF research in multiple countries: Interact with governments and regional bodies in charge of forest policy and decision making to improve the management of forest ecosystems in central Africa.
- Produce scientific and policy publications to advance African and tropical forest ecosystems management.
- Fund raising: lead the development of proposals.
Requirements
- PhD in forestry or related fields.
- At least 15 years of researchdevelopment experience in the domain of sustainable forest and natural resource management in Central Africa.
- At least 5 years experience in project management including financial management partner relations and supervision of staff.
