Senior Decentralized Systems Engineer (€65k - €100k Plus Tokens & Shares)

Core Competencies:

1. Rust Programming: Expert-level skills in Rust for developing high-performance, secure, and reliable system components. The candidate must have substantial experience with Rust, especially in areas of concurrency, memory safety, and performance optimization. Experience in integrating Rust with other programming languages is a plus.

2. Networking Expertise: Advanced knowledge in network architecture, protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/2, WebRTC), and data transmission methods essential for pixel streaming technologies. The ability to design, implement, and optimize network solutions for high throughput and low latency is critical.

3. Security: Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices, including but not limited to encryption, authentication, and secure communication protocols. The candidate should have experience in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities within distributed systems and networks.

4. JavaScript/TypeScript: Good-to-have knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript for scripting, automation, or developing complementary web-based tools or interfaces. Familiarity with Node.js or similar environments for server-side logic is beneficial.

Additional Skills (pre):

- DevOps and Cloud Services: Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Decentralized Technology and Blockchain: Understanding of decentralized technologies and blockchain principles to architect and implement distributed ledger-based solutions for managing digital assets, game assets, or streaming data. Experience with smart contracts, consensus algorithms, and peer-to-peer networks (Solana blockchain) is a pre.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a decentralized pixel streaming network using Rust and other appropriate technologies.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the network, implementing state-of-the-art security protocols and encryption methods.
• Collaborate with the UE5 SDK and web app/technology teams to integrate the decentralized network with existing systems.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in decentralized systems, blockchain, and cybersecurity, advising the team on potential integrations or improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on Rust and decentralized technologies.
• Proven track record of developing high-performance, secure, and scalable systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
