Job Description
We are seeking a PreConstruction Manager to support a leading regional construction company in Cedar Rapids IA.
This is an onsite position open to local candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop preliminary budgets value engineering preconstruction schedules and procurement plans.
- Prequalify subcontractors obtain bids analyze bids and prepare subcontracts as well as purchase orders.
- Detail take off and estimating.
- Define bid packaging scopes the subcontractor/supplier bidding process and evaluate bids.
- Present detailed estimates of work and evaluate alternatives for both negotiated and competitive projects.
- Present on project interviews clearly present estimates and executive summaries to client representatives or groups.
Requirements
Education:
- BS degree preferably in Construction Engineering or Construction Management
Required:
- 5 7 years of commercial preconstruction experience.
- Experience with construction bidding on 5M projects.
