As an Ansible Specialist this individual will assist in the adoption and optimization of Ansible across the organization. As a pivotal member of the DevOps team this role will evaluate and drive the appropriate use cases for EventDriven Ansible (EDA) and spearhead the establishment of Ansible as the standard for configuration automation. This individual contributor role requires a balance of strategic planning and handson technical expertise to maximize the efficient use of Ansible in both onpremises and AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

EventDriven Ansible (EDA) Evaluation:

Assess and document current Ansible implementations and their effectiveness.

Research and evaluate the potential for EDA to enhance realtime automation and response within our infrastructure.

Develop business cases and adoption models for EDA tailored to various needs within the organization.

Ansible Efficiency Optimization:

Lead the refinement and enhancement of Ansible playbooks roles and workflows to improve efficiency and manageability.

Facilitate the integration of Ansible with other tools and platforms including cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.

Provide recommendations and best practices for Ansible usage at scale.

Standardization Initiatives:

Work closely with teams across the organization to understand their automation needs and challenges.

Establish Ansible as a core standard for configuration automation by developing and promoting companywide guidelines.

Organize training sessions and workshops to increase Ansible proficiency within the organization.
