Quantity Surveyor and Billing engineer

1. Quantity Surveying:

• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials labor and equipment required for the project.
• Monitor and control material usage and wastage throughout the construction process.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and vendor quotations.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify and resolve any discrepancies in quantities or specifications.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all quantities measurements and cost data.

1. Billing and Cost Control:

• Prepare and submit accurate billing statements to clients in accordance with contract terms.
• Review and verify subcontractor invoices and applications for payment.
• Monitor project costs and expenditures against budgets.
• Identify costsaving opportunities and recommend value engineering alternatives where applicable.
• Generate regular reports on project financial performance including cost forecasts and variances.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations related to billing and payments.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain organized and uptodate documentation related to quantity surveying and billing activities.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Assist in the preparation of project progress reports and financial statements.
• Coordinate with project teams to gather relevant information for reporting purposes.

1. Quality and Compliance:

• Ensure that all quantity surveying and billing activities comply with relevant codes standards and regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance reviews and audits as necessary.
• Proactively identify and address any potential risks or issues related to quantity surveying or billing processes.

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor and Billing Engineer in the construction industry preferably with villa or residential project experience.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant construction laws regulations and standards.
• Certification or membership in relevant professional organizations is a plus.
