Soybean Meal Marketing Manager

Summary:

The SBM Marketing Manager will lead the team to ensure sales volume meets the plant production and logistics forecast. This role will lead the sales of soy meals from crush facilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan develop and manage soybean meal marketing strategy
  
• Coordinate the hiring and manage required marketing staff
  
• Generate customer leads and develop and maintain required industry relationships
  
• Demonstrate understanding of spreads between truck and rail markets
  
• Manage futures and cash position
  
• Accountable for P&L of soybean meal marketing platform
  
• Research and analyze freight opportunities in the marketplace to maximize net back
  
• Coordinate with transportation and logistics plant management and accounting/credit staff to ensure efficient execution
  
• Ensures compliance with applicable trade regulations and internal policies and procedures
  
• Drive a culture of safety accountability opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work
  
• Other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in related field required.
  
• Minimum of 35 years in Agricultural experience related to Sales Marketing & Management
  
• Market Risk knowledge & understanding in the Agriculture Industry
  
• Soybean meal merchandising/sales experience a plus
