Purchasing Assistant

As a Purchasing Assistant at Cathelco you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations. Your primary responsibility will be to place supplier orders based on purchase requests ensuring a seamless flow of stock servicing the department and fulfilling customer orders. Additionally you will be instrumental in maintaining an updated article and supplier database within our internal software.

Job Description:

• Place and monitor supplier orders to meet inventory needs.
• Conduct thorough checks on purchase prices to optimize costeffectiveness.
• Keep the database current and accurate.
• Request quotations and price lists from suppliers.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Effectively manage nonconformities and implement corrective measures.
• Oversee and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.

Internal/External Working Relationships:Situated at the heart of our supply chain you will interact with all members of the Palma and Antibes teams to foster collaborative relationships.

Specific Professional Knowledge:

• Proficient in office automation tools particularly Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated rigor and precision in processing information.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a purchasing or related role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
