Position Overview:
As a Staff Accountant you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records analyzing financial data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with other members of the finance team to support various accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable general ledger entries and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daytoday accounting tasks including but not limited to accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
- Assist with monthend and yearend close processes including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify trends discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and assistance as needed.
- Assist with internal and external audits including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance required.
- CPA certification or working towards CPA preferred.
- 2 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Famous etc.)
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
