3. Position type: 6 months
4. Candidates will have a Child Protective Services background check and FBI fingerprint reports done prior to starting.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistants. (MOA MAA MA)
2. One to two years of experience in the field.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant preferred or military medical experience with MA certification/registration required.
Current CPR certification required.
CHKD salary range: $18.00 / hr.
Job Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant is a multiskilled individual that works in a healthcare setting to support the non
clinical and clinical functions of the service area. Functions under the direction and continuous
supervision of a licensed healthcare provider (MD NP RN LPN) during performance of uncomplicated
clinical services and tasks. Reports to department management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides safe and effective delivery of uncomplicated clinical services and tasks under the direction and
continuous supervision of a licensed health care provider.
Provides appropriate clinical and nonclinical information to facilitate visit process.
Maintains sterility and cleanliness of the environment.
Maintains supplies equipment and instruments.
Supports and performs clerical functions as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such
as but not limited to excessive noise dust or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable
diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care
activities can be expected.
