Job Description

Title: Change Management Lead / Consultant
Location: Halifax NS (Hybrid Occasional onsite maybe required)
Seniority on the skill/s required on this requirement: Mid.
Earliest Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: Upto 6 years
Work authorization: any (candidate must be authorized to work in CA)

Musthave skills: experience in improving returntowork (RTW) outcomes improving the worker and employer experience in the RTW journey and enabling to achieve overall RTW strategic objective to reduce time lost due to workplace injury.

Requirements:
  • Lead the Change Management stream using proven best practices and change management methodology. The experienced change management professional will be the lead in engaging and assessing groups impacted by the change to determine their readiness identify mitigation tactics develop a change management plan and carry out actions defined in the plan to ensure a smooth rollout and operational implementation.
  • Perform change impact analysis (i.e. scope of planned change impacted audiences the readiness of the organization to accept change risks etc.). This includes understanding the complexities of change and specific impacts to people in order to formulate change management tactics to mobilize and align leaders engage and communicate align the organization and enable the workforce.
  • Coordinate and facilitate working sessions as required.
  • Design and develop targeted strategies to address the impacts of change on people organization processes tools and technology leadership and management.
  • Develop and execute other change tactics as required.
  • Liaise with leaders at all levels to identify develop and manage change risks.
  • Facilitate seniorlevel meetings to surface and resolve sensitive issues and drive alignment (as required).
  • Collaborate with internal communications and change management team to support project activities.
  • Engage with the other project streams to timely integrate process and technological change with people change strategies.
  • Work closely with project resources to align requirements with change deliverables and execute on said deliverables.
  • Manage expectations of key internal partners in relation to the change management plan.
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of all change management activities.
  • Weekly status reporting and attending team meetings.
  • Provide change management support within a unionized publicsector environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in a change management / change leadership role in a project environment.
  • Significant experience with largescale organizational change efforts with multiple stakeholder groups / teams.
  • Strong/proven background and expertise in leading behavioral and people based change initiatives
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles methodologies (PROSCI or similar)
  • Experience in adapting change management principles / practices appropriate to the size and scope of the project.
  • Experience supporting the development and execution of change management deliverables including:
    • Change strategies and/or plans
    • Change impact assessment and analysis
    • Stakeholder analysis and assessments
    • Change networks
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
    • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences facilitate working sessions
    • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
    • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
    • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Understand basic adult learning principles.
  • Ability to support the creation of different training materials.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • PROSCI CCMP CMS or other comparable change management certification is considered an asset.
  • Management / leadership experience is an asset
  • Experience in improving work processes is an asset
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Previous Experience in Workers Compensation is preferred
