Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated FPGA engineer to join an exciting aerospace team here in Cedar Rapids IA. This FPGA Engineer will be part of a unit verifying designs and completing on target testing in the lab developing documentation completing regression testing all within the DO254 framework.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate in completing on target testing test documentation test specification test results traceability documentation.
  • Conduct python test scripting.
  • Run regression tests on hardware.
  • Develop tests in python to address new requirements.
  • Debug FPGA designs in a hardware lab environment.
  • DO254 compliant development.


Requirements


  • Have a working knowledge of digital systems and components FPGA design methodologies testing debugging root causing and testing methodologies.
  • Python Script development.
  • Good working knowledge of VHDL designs.
  • Test bench development experience including: hardware debug and root cause skills.
  • Familiar with FPGA design flow.
  • Ability to run regression test on prototype hardware.
  • Knowledge of DALA verification methodologies.
  • Familiarity with General lab equipment and lab environment best practices.
  • DO254 and AC 20152a compliance knowledge.
  • Safety Critical Design Awareness.
  • Requirements Based Testing.

Bachelor s degree in Engineering. Good knowledge and understanding of CAD, PLM tools. Required Skills: Customer Service Interpersonal Skills Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Critical Thinking Time Management Risk Escalation Scope Creep Escalation Technical Problem Solving Willingness to Learn Team Focused Technical Writing Ability Curiosity Experience in the following areas are a bonus: Authoring Tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, HTML) Content Creation Tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, Camtasia, Screen Recording, SnagIt) Instructional design. Effective communication and proficiency in English. Learning Management System (LMS) Application experience an asset. Experience on CATIA/ENOVIA/3DEXPERIENCE is a bonus. Proficient with MS Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
