Senior Staff Accountant

Position Overview:

As a Senior Staff Accountant you will play a pivotal role in our finance department contributing your expertise to various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. You will collaborate closely with team members to execute financial reporting analysis and reconciliation tasks while also providing guidance and support to junior staff. Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthend and yearend close processes including journal entries account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial projections to support strategic decisionmaking.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members fostering their professional development and growth.
• Assist with external audits and tax filings ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve accounting processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work activities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
