HUMAN RESOURCES BENEFITS SPECIALIST (Permanent)
Our client an established nonprofit organization in WNY is looking to hire a Human Resources Benefits Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity in an organization that values its employees offers an excellent worklife balance and is focused on helping the local WNY community.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daytoday Human Resources functions for benefits administration (medical dental vision retirement unemployment workers comp and First Aid)
- Coordinate and complete all enrollment activities throughout the year
- Implement updates for current employees during open enrollment ensuring they are made aware of any policy changes
- Complete all 403B plan participants
- Manage HRIS system ensuring records are uptodate and accurate
- Process any Worker s Comp claims maintaining proper documentation
- Manage all Unemployment claims monitoring for validity and ensuring documentation is accurate
- Oversee benefits billing and perform reconciliations as necessary
- Act as expert on benefits package responding to any employee questions/concerns in a timely manner
- Participate in onboarding of new employees explaining benefits to newly onboarded employees
- Work well in a team setting as well as independently
- Maintain confidentiality of employees records at all times
- Complete special projects for HR team as needed
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full time direct hire
- MondayFriday 8:00am5:00pm EST; half days on Fridays in the summer
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related
- $55000 $65000 annually depending on experience
- Excellent Benefits package Generous PTO 12 sick days closed on bank holidays
- 3 years experience nonprofit preferred
- Proficiency in managing HRIS system ADP preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent computer skills specifically Excel and Word
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
