Purpose of the Job:
- Contribute to the successful delivery of the business strategy through insightful actuarial analysis.
- Fulfill regulatory responsibilities and ensure policyholders interests are protected.
- Transform the function to be more insightled using technology automation and sophisticated analytical techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development updating and maintenance of actuarial data sources.
- Identify opportunities for improved data use and more insightful actuarial analysis.
- Contribute to quarterly and yearend solvency capital requirement calculations.
- Contribute to the production of QRTs and outputs for financial reporting.
- Assist in developing an effective capital management framework including economic capital modelling and risk optimisation.
- Contribute to quarterly and yearend reserving calculations.
- Monitor insurance schemes including monthly loss ratio analysis.
- Develop and embed processes to ensure factor reserves and earning patterns are robust.
- Implement and embed the use of actuarial software within the reserving process.
Other Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the production of documented actuarial outputs for signoff by the Chief Actuary and relevant committees.
- Automate processes for data preparation transformation and reporting.
- Support reinsurer requests for data and respond promptly.
- Maintain professional qualifications and fulfill CPD requirements.
Qualifications:
- Studying towards a Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) or equivalent actuarial exams.
- Significant nonlife insurance modeling experience.
- Analytical mindset with commercial awareness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive autonomous and able to deputize for their manager when required.
