Role: Azure Custom policy Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 months

Pay rate:$50$60/hr on w2

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Azure Policy solutions to enforce governance security and compliance requirements for Azure resources.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective Azure Policy configurations.
  • Design and implement custom policy definitions and initiatives based on organizational requirements.
  • Assess and analyze existing Azure environments identify policy gaps and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Address and set PIM & PAM accessibility.
  • Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure Azure resources adhere to internal and industryspecific regulations.
  • Automate policy enforcement and monitoring processes using PowerShell Azure CLI Azure Policy REST API or other relevant tools.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to Azure Policy standards processes and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on Azure Policy implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest Azure Policy features updates and industry trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization. Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Extensive experience in designing implementing and managing Azure Policy solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of Azure services and resource types and their associated policy controls.
  • Proficiency in Azure Policy Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates Azure Policy definition languages (e.g. JSON) and PowerShell scripting.
  • Solid knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST CIS GDPR HIPAA and their implementation within Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps Git and CI/CD pipelines for policy deployment and version control.
  • Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify analyze and resolve policyrelated issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Immediate Impact: Creation & Customization of Azure policies Identity & Active Directory (AD)
  • Understanding of the Azure AD Identity and Access Management Fundamentals
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SSO and MFA with Azure AD.
  • Significant experience with Enterprise Applications/App Registrations and the corresponding authentication protocols ( SAML OIDC/Oauth HeaderBased etc)
  • Experience with Azure App Proxy Azure AD Connect Azure AD RBAC and Role Management Self Service Password Reset Azure Passthrough Authentication SQL Server and Active Directory.
  • Ability to assist with the configuration deployment and optimization of Azure Conditional Access Policies
  • Solid understanding of Office 365 Administration
  • Experience Migrating applications from onprem into the cloud for authentication

Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Security Engineer Associate are a plus.
