Job Description

Purpose of Role:

The Head of Marketing oversees the Marketing function across Group and all its subsidiary businesses. The Head of Marketing plays a pivotal role in driving Uniphar Medtech's market leadership and growth. This position is responsible for shaping the overall marketing strategy and establishing a compelling value proposition for Uniphar Medtech.

A key objective is to foster customer engagement, both internally and externally, while ensuring that the Marketing Department operates efficiently and continues to evolve. The Head of Marketing is accountable for the growth and development of the marketing team, driving innovation and implementing best practices in marketing, and contributing to the strategic objectives of the organisation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic:

  • Develop and expand the marketing department to align with Uniphar Medtech's growth strategy.
  • Implement best-practice strategies, frameworks, and processes to support the organisation effectively.
  • Identify value-creating opportunities across divisions in line with the growth strategy.

Product Marketing:

  • Lead the development of effective marketing strategies to drive new leads and sales across various product lines in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for the development, execution, and measurement of lead generation, sales, and marketing campaigns, ensuring innovation and success in campaign management.

Brand Management:

  • Establish, build, and reinforce the Uniphar Medtech brand, ensuring consistent communication of its image and values to internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure all marketing assets, both digital and print, remain relevant and aligned with the growth strategy.

Team Management:

  • Provide leadership, development, and motivation for the marketing team, enabling individual growth and team success.
  • Expand the marketing team in accordance with the allocated budget and the organisation's growth strategy.

Budgetary:

  • Strengthen the cost centre function of the Marketing Department with ultimate responsibility for the development and execution of marketing activities across all businesses.
  • Collaborate with Sales directors and teams to formulate future spending projections and prioritize projects.

Market Research:

  • Implement research, analysis, and evaluation systems to support the planning and measurement of all marketing initiatives and meet the strategic requirements of the business.

Communication:

  • Develop and execute effective PR & Communication strategies for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the growth strategy.
  • Create multi-channel strategies to meet the organisation's evolving needs.

Digital:

  • Oversee all digital platforms and ensure that all business websites align with strategic and communication requirements.
  • Maintain strong google data studio data and implementation plan to ensure recommendations are acted upon.
  • Champion best practices and innovation in all digital platforms, including social channels, and ensure adherence to best practices in SEO, PPC, email campaign platforms, and lead generation/landing page sites.

Requirements for the Role:

  • 10+ years' experience in marketing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and commercially; spotting new ways to engage, acquire and retain customers in as cost-effective way as possible.
  • Honours Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Experience of managing relationships with outside agencies, suppliers and customer groups. Proven ability working with multiple stakeholders.
  • A natural communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of managing and developing direct reports.
  • Proven ability to deliver results within given timelines.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • A self-starter with the ability to bring people with them.
  • An excellent leader and motivator who will thrive on working closely with the team to support the business in a time of ambitious growth.
  • Ability to work within a pressurised environment
  • Strong communicator, with ability to make the complex simple.
