Transactional Accountant

The role:

This role will be based across Star Outico Ireland & Point of Care business which are part of the Uniphar Pharma Division. The position offers great opportunity for exposure to the fundamental tasks required in preparation of monthly management accounts. There is huge potential for personal development as there will autonomy to manage processes end to end, while also interacting with the wider Uniphar Pharma finance team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of sales invoices & recharges and reconciliation of monthly billing files
• Posting creditor invoices and maintaining creditor ledger
• Completion of bank postings and preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with completion of month end accounts.
• Monthly Balance Sheet and Vendor reconciliations and resolution/investigation of balances
• Assist with External audit queries.
• Other Tasks and projects which arise within the team.
• Ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
• Liaise and communicate appropriately with business partners, other business units and departments.
• Continuous Process Improvement and review of existing processes

Candidates Requirements:

• Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
• SAP experience desirable but not essential.
• 1+ years industry experience desirable
• Ability to work as part of a hardworking and flexible finance team.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in particular when working closely with non-financial employees such as the commercial team.

How we'd like to work together

As we are a global team, there is flexibility to be based in one of Uniphar's offices or work from home. There may be a need for face to face meetings in other locations, as needed. There may also some flexibility required in order to interact with colleagues or clients in their time zones (i.e. it's not a '9 to 5' type of job).
