The Deputy Director Talent and Capability Development will be responsible for designing and delivering Talent and Leadership development interventions that support the execution of business strategies and enhance business performance. He/she will also be responsible for driving a highperformance culture in the institution and developing modern and effective Talent management and development strategies. He/She will oversee the Learning and Development Performance Management and Talent Management functions.
Key responsibilities
Collect analyze and maintain data to inform talent development interventions
Develop and deliver effective talent strategies procedures and programs
Initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention promotion and career progression
Analyze training needs to design employee training programs aligned to strategy
Manage the performance management system and related processes
Oversee the development and implementation of core competencies
Develop and conduct presentations and training for management and staff
Mentor coach and mobilize Talent Development teams
A Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Management or Bachelor s degree in Commerce (Human Resources Option) or in Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
A Master s degree in Human Resource Management/Development Business Administration (Human Resources Management) Organizational Management Public Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is an added advantage
CHRP Certification Higher Diploma in HR Management or a similar HR qualification.
Full membership to the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM); or membership to other appropriate relevant professional body and in good standing.
At least Ten (10) years of experience in Talent Development in a large financial institution international organization or large Private / Public organization; with at least five (5) years in a senior leadership role.
Proven understanding of Performance Management and relevant software.
Experience in designing developing and supporting organizationwide talent management programs that cover performance management talent development coaching and mentoring succession planning data analytics and relationship management.
Experience delivering quality employee training programs using a variety of methods.
Knowledge of relevant HR Legislation.
Strong data analytical ability to translate data into meaningful and actionable insights and develop strategy based on those insights.
