Job Description
Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our building construction team. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects providing technical expertise and ensuring the successful execution of construction initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in building construction and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage building construction projects from conception to completion ensuring adherence to project timelines budgets and quality standards.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to project teams ensuring the successful delivery of engineering solutions.
Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers designers and technical staff.
- Foster a collaborative and highperformance work environment encouraging innovation and professional growth.
Project Planning:
- Collaborate with architects contractors and other stakeholders in the development of project plans schedules and budgets.
- Ensure the efficient allocation of resources and the implementation of best practices in project management.
Technical Expertise:
- Apply advanced engineering principles to analyze and solve complex problems related to building construction.
- Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and best practices to enhance project outcomes.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets industry standards specifications and project requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews of engineering designs calculations and construction documentation.
Client Interaction:
- Act as a key point of contact for clients addressing their needs concerns and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Participate in client meetings presentations and discussions to align project objectives with client expectations.
Budget Management:
- Monitor project costs and make strategic decisions to keep the project within budget constraints.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on project financials to senior management.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and standards on construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 8 years of progressive experience in building construction with a focus on project management and leadership roles.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (COREN/CORBON).
- Structural design background
- Experience managing mass housing projects
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in project management software and relevant engineering tools.
