The Marketing andCommunications Manager is part of an important team that createsand executes propertylevel communications to our customers. Underthe leadership of the Director of Marketing and Communication thisrole promotes onbrand messaging to customers through traditionaldigital and social media channels all with the goal of enhancingthe image of the hotel. This role helps build direct marketingplans targeted campaigns and activated channels to the end ofdriving consumer awareness and preference increasing market shareand building broader portfolio and brand awareness. This rolefocuses on showcasing Food and Beverage promotions both to hotelguests and to local patrons. As part of the Marketing andCommunication team this role is fully connected into resources intheir region; Marketing and Communication Managers liaise and builddeep partnerships with their regional eCommerce and Marketing teamsto verify all local social and digital marketing efforts areeffectively integrated with the selling efforts for theorganization. This role also gets to do a little bit of everythingfrom balancing traditional and digital marketing and eCommerceactivities to contributing to public relations (PR) activities forthe hotel. Success is measured by how well they help drive thesales and revenue strategy of the property social media engagementand also by how effectively leveraged the resources around them areto create truly compelling marketing and communicationscampaigns. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education andExperience Required: • 2year degree from an accredited university in MarketingPublic Relations Business Administration or related major and 4years experience in the sales marketing digital or relatedprofessional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertisingexperience preferred OR • 4year bachelors degree in Marketing PublicRelations Business or related major; 2 years experience in thesales marketing digital or related professional area; hospitalitymarketing or digital advertising agency experiencepreferred. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Hotel Marketingand Advertising • Executesannual marketing plan to budget in consultation with the GM Foodand Beverage leader Operations leaders Director of MarketingCommunications and cluster marketing and ecommerceteams. • Partners withOperations Food & Beverage and Sales teams to executepromotions and campaigns to target inhouse guests with promotionsthat drive incremental revenue to the hotel. • Acts as the liaison between the marketingdepartment and advertising agency on the tactical advertisingcampaigns creative and media plans particularly for food andbeverage promotions. • Manages F&B media schedules and verifies promptsettlement of accounts. • Partners with property Revenue Management to verifycorrect offer loading verifying advertisement targeting iscorrectly directed at relevant consumer groups • Executes email marketing anddisplay advertising. • Maintains frequent active engagement with ClustereCommerce manager to verify alignment pullthrough and 2waycommunication about the status performance evaluation opportunitiesand issues related to online programs and initiatives. • Verifies all advertising for thehotel in digital channels is in alignment with brandvoice. Social Media ContentManagement • Facilitatessocial media engagement and updating content in local digitalchannels (e.g. hotel website travel sites). • Develops and executes promotions campaign inF&B weddings spa rooms and conferences through relevantdigital and social media channels. • Engages in proactive online reputationmanagement by surfacing relevant guest comments (positive ornegative) in social media channels and respondsaccordingly.
