Keystone Law Group is seeking a talented individual to lead our Accounting Department to enhance our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in both Accounting and Finance and demonstrate key skills such as attention to detail analytical thinking client service management and teamwork. This role will oversee the Accounting Department where you will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations and report to the Managing Partner to achieve departmental and firmwide objectives.

Position is hybrid with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office required (Los Angeles)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight of A/P A/R billing and payroll functions
- Maintain accounting transactions and record to the general ledger; responsible for month end account reconciliations and preparing monthly financial statements
- Prepare month end journal entries and review general ledger details monthly
- Perform monthly trust account reconciliation
- Prepare the firm’s annual budget including revenue forecasts and coordinate with and assist department heads on completion of their budgets
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting with crossdepartmental collaboration including profitability analysis (firm level and individual timekeeper level) compensation and rate determination as well as creation of other reports requested by firm management
- Approve and release weekly payments checks and wires
- Create maintain and update process documentation; create new documentation as needed
- Oversee third party vendor 1099 reporting
- Work with CPA to oversee the maintenance of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation records using fixed asset application; ensure fixed asset inventory database is updated
- Assist CPA with taxrelated matters
- Create best practice procedures for accounting activities and drive process improvements utilizing technology to improve efficiency
- Manage mentor and develop the Accounting team members
- Monitor and report on key firm financial metrics and KPIs and set and achieve departmental OKRs

- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting concepts
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficient with project management document management and data visualization applications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics or similar system preferred or proven ability to learn and acclimate to a new accounting software
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or a related field is required
- CPA license or MBA is preferred
- At least 57 years of general accounting experience in law firm or professional services firm required
- At least 5 years of management experience with multiple direct reports
- Experience working with industryspecific accounting software
