Position: Female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

Department: Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department

Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to patients including prenatal care labour and delivery support and postnatal care.
• Perform gynaecological examinations diagnose conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Perform surgical procedures such as caesarean sections hysterectomies and laparoscopies.
• Conduct regular screenings and preventive care measures including Pap smears mammograms and family planning consultations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as nurses midwives and anaesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient care.
• Stay uptodate with advancements in obstetrics and gynaecology by attending conferences and participating in continuing medical education.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients diagnoses treatments and progress.
• Educate patients and their families on reproductive health pregnancy and contraception options.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Adhere to all medical ethics and legal requirements.

Qualifications Skills and Experience:

• Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
• Valid license to practice as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
• Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
• Proven experience in providing obstetric and gynaecological care.
• Excellent clinical and surgical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy and compassion towards patients.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Detailoriented and organized.
• Proficiency in medical software and electronic health records.
• Willingness to stay updated with advancements in the field.
• Fluency in English and local language.
