Job Description


Cloudstreet Consulting is seeking a business analyst for its Client with experience in Human Resources systems, to design and support development of additional features within the payroll specific ticketing system, HR Ticketing.

The Client manages the suite of HR Information and Payroll System. HR Ticketing is a system specifically built to support the payroll triage and processing decisions for incoming service requests. It is written in .Net with an SQL database.

The user group would like to extend the use of the application and require a new module to be built to support the business process. The Business Analyst will be required to establish the scope and to document the business requirement, solution design and support the development process, through to a successful testing outcome.

The BA will be working closely with the long standing team of application specialists and will need to engage and motivate effective outcomes with the business stakeholder.

The suitable resource will be required to perform the services in Darwin as required by the projects activities.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for the full range of business analyst tasks needed to deliver complete and quality documents; requirements planning and management; requirement elicitation, analysis and documentation; and capturing existing business processes and proposed changes, for the improvements within the NTG HR systems.

Expected duration of this service provision is 4 months, starting asap


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups with stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business and functional requirements, and management of requirements traceability.
  • Conduct walkthroughs to validate and obtain approval of business analysis outputs.
  • Provide business analysis support relevant to provision of requirements support and clarification throughout a full project development or implementation lifecycle.
  • Undertake and support testing activities including preparing and executing test plans and cases.
  • Applying business analysis techniques and tools to document requirements, objectives, outcomes, processes, procedures, work instructions and workflows.



Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Extensive skills and experience as a Business Analyst, including experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, process mapping and information analysis, planning, design, testing and system integration, using industry standard techniques in a complex business environment.
  • Experience mapping business requirements and processes to the functionality of a product whilst identifying gaps and opportunities.
  • High level analytical skills and organizational skills with good attention to detail and ability to think laterally and conceptually.
  • Highly effective client liaison and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative environment with high performing teams with high priority deliverables under tight timeframes, and balancing competing priorities.
  • Experience in end to end delivery of business systems projects.
  • Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Visio and the usual office tools such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook (e-mail), proficient in the use of JIRA and SharePoint or ability to quickly acquire.
  • Experience identifying and analysing complex legislative and / or regulatory requirements applicable to the relevant industry/work environment and their processes.

Personal Qualities required of Candidate

  • High level social and written skills with ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders, including ability to translate complex analytical and technical information into clear and meaningful terms.
  • Ability to work in a large team environment with members of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Self-starter with high personal drive and a positive attitude.
