Job Description


Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute appropriate demand plan for production of OUR CLIENT rental fleet and TapeTech brands to achieve and maintain utilization target.
  • Supplier Relationships building and maintaining strategic alliances in the supply chain
  • Oversee all purchasing and procurement activities, such as parts procurement and running monthly material requirements planning (MRP) report.
  • Working closely with the Senior Buyer on order planning for component parts and merchandise that are distributed out of the Suwanee location
  • Support Inventory accuracy assurance processes such as Physical Inventory activities
  • Ensure purchasing of components, TapeTech merchandise and Our Client private label products as required
  • Supplier metrics of quality, cost and delivery and the development of new metrics as assigned
  • Cost reductions in parts and supply sourcing to achieve targets set by CFO
  • Quality improvements with Suppliers working closely with engineering and production
  • Source selection for newly designed items working closely with product development
  • Participate in budget planning
  • Participate and oversee cycle count and annual inventory processes within the warehouse
  • Maintain targeted turns of Inventory levels via Kanban and material requirements planning (MRP)
  • Replacement and Standard Cost Maintenance
  • Review and approve monthly scrapping of production rejected components
  • Oversee and manage material requirements planning (MRP) process
  • Preparation and execution of the budget for the Service Center
  • Lead the Service Center initiatives of the Lean Production System .
  • Maintain appropriate communication to the stores and other departments as required

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Direct Reports: Sr. Buyer, Head of Production, Facilities Coordinator, Logistics Manager, Sr. Manager of Demand Planning, and Administration Personnel
  • Manages overall production, logistics, inventory, supply chain, and purchasing/procurement of in-house sourcing for automatic taping and finishing (ATF) tools and complimentary products
The Head of Operations is responsible for the strategic planning and general daily operations of the organization.


Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; in addition to 7 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years extensive assembly/production experience with multiple product line facilities and products whose usefulness are interdependent upon one another absolutely required.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
