Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a hybrid role. Initially offered as a 6month contract there is potential for extension based on performance and project requirements.

• Work on the foundation of the organisations IT solutions the platform in AWS based on RedHat OpenShift (ROSA) and its building blocks.
  
• Support and guide DevOps teams with cloud issues.
  
• Set up and maintain network infrastructure security and connections with SaaS services in the AWS Cloud.
  
• Of course development is done according to the Infrastructureascode principle. We do this almost entirely with Terraform Helm and in some cases CDK and by means of GitOps.
  
• Enable BizDevOps teams to use and configure building blocks via selfservice based on automation that you (co)develop. CI/CD tools hold no secrets for you.
  
• Actively collaborate with DevOps teams on how the building blocks can be used most effectively to achieve their goals.

Requirements

• AWS Expertise Solution Architect Professional Level
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Kubernetes
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Terraform Helm
  
• Experience with ITSM processes change and incident management
  
• Broad experience in Cloud development and Infrastructureascode (e.g. Terraform Cloudformation CDK Helm etc.)
  
• Automation and scripting languages such as Python Bash Ruby or Go
  
• Knowledge of and experience with scalable and distributed environments
  
• Knowledge of and experience with various communication protocols (e.g. REST Streaming bulk connections etc.) and availability mechanisms (e.g. circuit breaker retry mechanisms Service Mesh etc.)
  
• Extensive experience with observability and all pillars: monitoring metrics logging and tracing systems (e.g. Prometheus Thanos Grafana Grafana Loki Grafana Tempo)
  
• Extensive experience with database solutions such as: PostGresql MySQL MongoDB
  
• Extensive experience with setting up Continuous Delivery/Deployment systems (e.g. Git)
