What Were Looking For

We are looking for a dynamic and handson Senior Finance Manager to join our team in Berlin. Reporting directly to the CEO the Senior Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the financial functions of the company. This role oversees one finance team member and our external stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management
   
   1. Accounting Oversight: Oversee the external accounting company ensuring accuracy compliance and timeliness in all accounting functions and reports.
      
   2. Financial Planning and Liquidity Management: Lead the creation and oversight of annual and longterm financial plans. Keep a close eye on cash balances and forecasts.
      
   3. Budget Oversight: Regularly compare projected figures to actual results identifying areas for improvement or adjustment.
      
   4. Audit Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact with external auditors for annual financial audits ensuring compliance and transparency.
      
   5. Tax Oversight: Oversee the preparation and submission of tax statements.
   6. Corporate Finance: Actively work with financing stakeholders such as banks investors and public subsidy organizations.
      
2. Operational Efficiency:
   1. Process Optimization: Routinely assess our financial workflows to find and implement efficiencies that improve team performance.
   2. KPI Tracking: Implement a robust reporting system for financial KPIs thats accessible to all teams.
3. Team Management:
   
   1. Team Leadership: Directly manage and mentor one finance team member.
      
   2. Professional Development: Identify training and development needs for your team member.
      
      

We Expect

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field
• At least4 years of experience in a Finance role within a SaaS or startup environment
• Indepth expertise in understanding annual company reports with a high level of proficiency in monthly reports (BWA) and accounting principles (German GAAP (HGB)).
• Proficiency in Datev reporting and Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Familiarity with Subscription Management tools like Chargebee Payment Providers like Stripe PowerQuery is a plus.
• Fluency inEnglish German isa plus.
• Handson make it happen attitude with a proven track record of implementing Finance policies and strategies effectively and efficiently.
