Overview:
The role of Retail Sales GEMS & JEWELLERY is vital for our organization as it involves directly engaging with customers to showcase and sell our exclusive range of gems and jewelry. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and promoting the products to drive sales and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Showcase and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of gems and jewelry products
- Provide personalized product recommendations and assistance in the selection process
- Participate in inventory management and ensure accurate stock levels
- Execute sales transactions and handle cash credit or other forms of payment
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Responsible for visual merchandising and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the store
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special events and sales
- Handle customer inquiries feedback and aftersales service
- Conduct market research to identify potential customer demographics
- Contribute to a positive and cohesive team environment

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred
- Proven experience in retail sales preferably in the gems and jewelry industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of gemstones precious metals and jewelry craftsmanship
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
- Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and other retail software
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Proactive approach to sales and achieving targets
- Good understanding of market trends and customer preferences
- Detailoriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to maintain a professional and polished appearance
- Understanding of basic jewelry appraisal practices is a plus
- Knowledge of gemology and accreditation from relevant institutions is desirable
