Overview:
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within the organization. They are responsible for conducting regular maintenance diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and implementing preventive measures to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and breakdowns
- Installing and commissioning new electrical systems
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance procedures
- Collaborating with other engineers and technicians on maintenance tasks
- Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance
- Managing spare parts inventory and procurement
- Analyzing equipment performance and recommending improvements
- Training and mentoring junior maintenance staff
- Preparing maintenance reports and documentation
- Participating in emergency response and recovery efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Carrying out liaising work with govt authorities like TSSPDCL & chief of Electrical Inspectorate in coordination with administration.
- Maintaining of electrical equipment including Substation earthing system etc.
- Maintain ISO/ TPM document with respect to utility department
