Job Description
Midlevel Developer Developer Services Squad
Overview:
As a Midlevel Developer in our dynamic squad responsible for Developer Services you will be a key contributor to the creation and enhancement of a robust ecosystem that facilitates developers in their daytoday (D2D) activities. The squad leverages technologies such as Terraform Python and
Bash/Shell with a significant focus on cloud services hosted primarily on AWS. If you are passionate about empowering developers and creating efficient workspaces this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a cuttingedge ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
1. Software Development:
Design develop test and deploy software solutions that enhance the Developer Services ecosystem.
Collaborate with team members to create efficient and maintainable code to support developers daily activities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing services by identifying and implementing optimizations.
2. Automation and Orchestration:
Utilize Ansible Jenkins Terraform Python and Bash/Shell scripting to automate and orchestrate various aspects of the developer workspace and ecosystem.
Implement automated workflows to streamline deployment configuration and monitoring tasks.
Leverage cloud services on AWS to enhance scalability and efficiency.
3. Cloud Ecosystem Development:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of cloudbased services on AWS that form the foundation of the Developer Services ecosystem.
Implement solutions that enable seamless integration between services to create a cohesive developer experience.
4. Collaboration:
Work closely with crossfunctional team members including architects system administrators and other developers to ensure the smooth integration and interoperability of services.
Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning daily standups and sprint reviews fostering effective collaboration within the squad.
Engage in knowledgesharing activities to enhance the collective expertise of the team.
5. Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide support for developer services investigating and resolving technical issues promptly.
Collaborate with operational teams to troubleshoot and optimize the performance of developercentric services.
6. Documentation:
Document code scripts configurations and processes thoroughly to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer within the squad.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for Developer Services.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Terraform Python Bash/Shell scripting.
Experience with cloud services on AWS including but not limited to EC2 S3 Lambda and AWS CLI.
Familiarity with developer tools workspaces and best practices.
Experience:
Minimum of 35 years of experience as a developer with a focus on developer services and ecosystem development.
Exposure to agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Proactive attitude with a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Requirements:
Must fulfil the requirements to obtain an EU security clearance
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
