Accountant

1. Perform invoicing activities, maintenance, and controls for QatarEnergy LNG Marketing (QELM) invoicing operations in line with approved policies and procedures.

2. Perform and suggest preventive and detective financial controls and accounting efficiency using global industry best practices.

3. Identify and develop necessary skills and resources.

Education

• Bachelor in Accounting/ Finance / Commerce

• Professional certification like Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant/ Cost & Management Accountant / MBA in Finance.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in medium to large organization with adequate exposure to accounting & finance functions. Previous experience in similar capacity in an oil and gas industry would be an advantage.

• Knowledge of systems in a computerized business environment which includes knowledge and experience in MS Office packages, SAP or similar advanced ERP system.

• Invoicing skills must have been demonstrated in previous jobs and/or assignments.

• Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language

• Working knowledge of international invoicing standards

• 5 years working experience in an invoicing department.

• Competency in general ledger reconciliations and controls
