Job Description

Implement salmon habitat restoration and water quality monitoring projects in the Hood River Basin. Duties include overseeing all aspects of fish habitat restoration including: design permitting implementation reporting and effectiveness monitoring; assisting with watershed and fisheries monitoring; coordinating with local stakeholders and basin partners for collaborative restoration projects; and grant writing reporting and budgeting.



Requirements

Bachelors of science degree in fisheries or related field plus at least 3 years of experience conducting fish habitat restoration and/or salmon research / watershed monitoring projects must have a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record. Good interpersonal skills. Able to follow detailed directions both written and oral. Required to receive and pass preemployment drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check with Federal Tribal and State Law Enforcement.
