Job Description

A company in Johannesburg South (Alberton South Area) is looking for an HR & Payroll Specialist. (HR Manager) The ideal candidate has at least 34 years of HR Generalist experience and has also processed and overseen payroll functions.

Job Description: HR and Payroll Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle HR functions including recruitment onboarding training and performance management.
  • Administer payroll processes including maintaining employee records and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with labor laws and company policies relating to HR and payroll.
  • Resolve employee inquiries and issues regarding HR policies payroll and benefits.
  • Prepare and analyze various HR and payroll reports including headcount turnover and salary data.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement HR and payroll initiatives.
  • Stay updated with relevant HR and payroll regulations and best practices.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR and Payroll Specialist or similar role.
  • Indepth knowledge of HR policies procedures and labor laws.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Previous experience with a unionized workforce.
  • Experience managing endtoend payroll processes.
  • Understanding of South African labor laws and regulations.
