Job Description: HR and Payroll Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle HR functions including recruitment onboarding training and performance management.
- Administer payroll processes including maintaining employee records and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with labor laws and company policies relating to HR and payroll.
- Resolve employee inquiries and issues regarding HR policies payroll and benefits.
- Prepare and analyze various HR and payroll reports including headcount turnover and salary data.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement HR and payroll initiatives.
- Stay updated with relevant HR and payroll regulations and best practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR and Payroll Specialist or similar role.
- Indepth knowledge of HR policies procedures and labor laws.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software.
Desired Experience:
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience with a unionized workforce.
- Experience managing endtoend payroll processes.
- Understanding of South African labor laws and regulations.
