Job Description

If you are a Quality Engineer with Automotive experience and ready to establish and nurture strong customer relations ensuring unparalleled satisfaction we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Encompass customer interfacing on quality issues maintenance of control plans PFMEAs inspection and gauge instructions and other designated quality plan documentation.
  • Take the lead in problemsolving activities establish data collection systems and initiate actions to prevent nonconformances in products processes and quality systems.
  • Responsible for customer interfacing on quality issues for assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain control plans PFMEAs inspection and gage instructions and other assigned quality plan documentation.
  • Lead problem solving activities for internal and external concerns relating to assigned responsibilities and establish data collection systems for process product and customer feedback.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product process and quality systems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product process or quality system.
  • Initiate recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer Certification with a background of at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment specifically automotive manufacturing.
  • Perform internal and/or external audits based on ISO 9001:2000/TS16949 requirements ensuring continued compliance.
  • Experience in Supplier Quality and customerrelated quality engineering roles along with exposure to APQP on new products in the automotive industry.
  • AIAG or related quality system knowledge
  • Possess strong organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks/projects at once.
  • Knowledge of IATF/16949 and basic corrective action skills including 8D 5Y Fishbone etc. is essential.
  • About 25% travel including international trips when necessary.

Location: Knoxville TN
