Investment Specialist - Agri

• Perform financial due diligence and analysis on prospective projects and
  recommend an investment decision
• Develop an investment and funding policy aligned to the company strategy and an investment criterion for evaluating the best repayment outcome for projects
  
• Create financial models that enhance return on investment of projects and financial planning.
  
• Manage the preparation of financial documents for presentation to potential and current investors on specific investments i.e. bank applications and information memoranda
  
• Analyse company accounts and financial projections and advise the company on how to best position its investments
  
• Liaising with fund managers company managers stock market traders stockbrokers and regulators with a view to expanding funding access while improving market perception
  
• Indepth examination of the investment portfolio to identify savings and other value enhancements such as refinancing
  
• Compiling research on competitor investment and the market as a whole
  
• Preparing presentations to be delivered to the senior investment team and developing highend presentations for potential clients and financing institutions
  
• Apply commercial understanding of the financial and legal value drivers that support or discredit the feasibility of any give project
  

Requirements

• BA/BCom degree in Economics or Finance or other related field
  
• 34 years experience in the same or similar role.
  
• Experience in an investment bank would be an added advantage.
  
• Analytical understanding of the agricultural market.
  
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excelbased financial modelling
  
• Experience in Project Finance of Agricultural projects is desirable.
  
• Experience in working across functional teams is desirable.
  
• Knowledge and experience in Agriculture primary agroprocessing and controlled environment agriculture sector is essential.
