Revalue supercharges the worlds leading naturebased carbon projects developers. We provide them with the required technical support and competitive financing to go from the initial rapid assessment of potential project areas to the first carbon credits issuance and beyond. This is underpinned by our proprietary tech which creates a stepchange in accuracy speed automation and level of insights.

The Machine Learning Remote Sensing Scientist will be part of the Machine Learning and Remote Sensing team in Revalue. This role would be ideally based in London but candidates in time zones GMT2 can also be considered.

Tasks

What are the main responsibilities of the role

The role will include but not be limited to:

• Develop and implement machine learning models for remote sensing data analysis particularly for land cover change detection and classification. using radar optical sensors and highresolution imagery.
• Work with large remote sensing datasets to identify and analyse changes in land cover over time.
• Interested in developing deploying and monitoring productionfacing machine learning systems.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to identify research questions design research studies and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation of code methods and results for transparency and reproducibility.
• Keep uptodate with the latest developments in remote sensing techniques and machine learning particularly as they relate to land cover change.
• Participate in project planning execution and reporting including the preparation of technical reports manuscripts and presentations.
• Provide training and support to other team members on remote sensing techniques and machine learning.

Requirements

What do we expect from you

• A love of nature; a strong affinity for the conservation and restoration of natural systems.

• Experience in remote sensing data analysis particularly in land cover change detection and classification using radar optical sensors (e.g. Landsat and Sentinel) and highresolution imagery.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Familiarity with scientific libraries and frameworks such as ScikitLearn OpenCV PyTorch TorchGeo TensorFlow or Keras.
• Extensive knowledge of remote sensing principles including image processing feature extraction and classification.
• Familiarity with land cover change challenges and environmental issues.
• Experience in working with large datasets and distributed computing.
• Evidence that you can work in remote teams are a selfdriver with a willingness to take initiative and committed to continuous improvement and consistent highperformance within a complex and fastgrowing sector.
• Resilience and the ability to make difficult things happen.
• Outstanding problemsolving skills and detail orientation.
• Willingness to join an international remote working team travelling to various international settings as needed.
• A proven ability to work effectively in diverse cultural settings.
• Demonstrated results in effective delivery and daytoday operational excellence.
• An understanding of naturebased solutions is desirable but not a must.
