We are seeking for a Parts Advisor who will be responsible for assisting customers and technicians in identifying, locating, and procuring automotive parts and accessories. This role requires a strong knowledge of automotive systems, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling and managing the parts sales, ensuring customer satisfaction and targets are achieved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Handling the cash and credit sales transactions in an efficient and effective manner
- Marketing the new and existing products of the department
- Ensure customer service excellence is maintained for all the jobs
- Executing cash and inventory management procedures efficiently and accurately
- Ensure branch premises, equipment and work areas are well maintained
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly greeting customers, listening to their needs, and assisting them in finding the right parts or accessories for their vehicles. Answer customer inquiries, provide product information, and offer alternative options if necessary.
- Assist technicians and service advisors in identifying and sourcing parts for repair and maintenance jobs. Provide technical guidance and knowledge regarding parts compatibility, installation procedures, and troubleshooting as required.
- Accurately record all transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges. Maintain proper documentation of customer information, part numbers, prices, and any special orders or requests. Update computer systems and databases with relevant information.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with automotive parts suppliers and manufacturers. Communicate regularly to inquire about new products, pricing, availability, and resolve any issues related to orders or deliveries.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training are a plus.
- Previous experience as an automotive parts advisor, parts counterperson, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and accessories.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in using computer systems, parts catalogs, and inventory management software.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer inquiries simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints or issues effectively.
