Managing and supervising the Business Development Team by developing business plans meeting planned goals converting leads and the role will also involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets and enhancing the position and reputation of the business. Requires oversight of the activities and performance of the team. This position reports directly to the Sales Director.

Previous work history in similar environment of at least five years
Responsibilities
Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets growth areas trends
Achieve and/or exceed set financial targets – personal and team
Drive Business Development managers to become specialists to assist with cross selling into client base
Responsible for performance management of the BDM team nationally
Manage all BDM opportunities
Driving sales holistically in BDM team and assist the team with closing deals
Setting goals for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals
Generate leads and cold call prospective clients
Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
Meet with clients face to face
Reporting on weekly client engagements for self and team.
Foster and develop relationships with clients
Understand the needs of clients and be able to respond effectively to meet these requirements
Preparation of quotes and proposals.
Ensure proposals are managed in terms of accuracy and completed within SLA
