RAKHERE is hiring a Vehicle Architect Engineer, Chassis (CREO) to join our growing team in Greensboro, North Carolina
Job Description
- Deliver quality secured geometry towards the projects. To solve packaging / geometry issues between different
- commodities. This includes geometric support to tolerances, main dimensions, and bodybuilder suitability.
- Conduct tolerance stack-ups of components and systems, ensuring geometry assurance and repeatability is met.
- Propose solutions for complete offer scenario / packaging to meet application and customer requirements.
- Discuss strategies with Platform management and commodities for long term road map of the architecture.
- Analyze and propose common solutions that can support all brands to minimize part numbers and maximize common
- parts (Common Architecture & Shared Technologies).
- Maintain awareness of other projects which may impact your current projects or areas of authority.
- Give input regarding geometrical matters to stakeholders (Global Manufacturing, Aftermarket, and the commodities
- (ex. Cab, Chassis, Electrical, Powertrain), from a complete vehicle perspective.
- Build geometry verification plan (virtual builds, physical builds B/C, DMU structure).
- Show progress and status for all geometry related activities through issue logs.
- Identify A-interface impacts and balance project geometrical requirements with platform requirements according to
- A-interface process whilst reducing diversity if possible.
- Drive Digital Mock-Up (DMU structure) deliveries according to DMU logic.
Qualifications
- CREO / Pro-E experience is required, with a focus on large assembly management.
- Heavy truck or bus chassis knowledge and experience.
- Electro-mobility knowledge is a plus.
- Leadership qualities, along with presentation skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised / independently.
- Ability to collaborate with local and global teams.
- Ability to plan / think ahead and anticipate what's next.
- Ability to do basic mathematics or free body diagrams for weight calculations, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
