After having successfully developed tools for children with learning difficulties for 15 years Constructor for Schools is extending its webbased learning tools to support all learning needs from children with learning difficulties to highly gifted children. As part of this extension Constructor for Schools wants to expand the coaching features for educators and parents while at the same time improving the user experience from deciding which license to get through onboarding practising and managing the users and their applications.
Most of the team is based in Zurich.
Tasks
- Lead a team of skilled and passionate engineers in developing systems that will shape the future of digital education for K12 students
- Directly participate in writing a code
- Ensure that our company achieves its ambitious engineering objectives ultimately improving the way children learn and teachers teach
- Provide exceptional technical expertise and guidance in product development
- Being a part of each features life cycle: from the rough concept all the way to the final implementation
- Participate in the recruitment process (interview candidates)
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in software development with deep knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as Java (preferable) Kotlin Go Rust C TypeScript and strong computer science fundamentals
- Strong passion for building innovative and technical solutions that align with business objectives
- Demonstrate exceptional ability to comprehend how broader organizational goals influence technical decisionmaking
- The candidate should also thrive in a fastpaced iterative engineering environment
- Must have a proven track record of earning the respect of your team members as both a technical leader and manager
- Experienced leading and hiring a team that builds backend bits and frontend widgets
- Great oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of German (B2C1) is a big thumbs up!
