Brief Position Description:
This Functional Quality Assurance role is critical to the software development process. The ideal candidate should have experience in Correspondent Banks and/or Corporate Credit Union payment processing. Being curious flexible and detailoriented is a must.
This position will work within a cross functional team throughout the software development lifecycle and as such excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Job Responsibilities
- Work as a part of software development team to analyse and interpret software requirements.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on the software requirements and changes.
- Estimate prioritise and plan the work needed for functional QA activities.
- Work with the development and product teams to ensure that testing plans successfully exercise for errors and normal daily processing.
- Identify record document and track issues within the products.
- Perform regression tests as issues are resolved.
- Capture errors/bugs and be able to reproduce them for development team.
- Track and maintain testing results and metrics.
Desired Knowledge Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration in a business field such as Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
- 47 years of functional experience
- AAP and/or NCP certification is a plus.
- Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality assurance methodologies.
- Familiarity with accounting and reconciliation procedures; ACH FedWire and X9.37 file formats; ACH processing including originations returns NOCs and risk; ICL check processing including returns and adjustments.
- An understanding of Instant Payments (RTP and FedNow) and ISO 20022 is a plus.
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, in a business field such as Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience. 4-7 years of functional experience AAP and/or NCP certification is a plus.
